Meet the Rabbi & Rebbetzin
Rabbi Ari and Batya Kieveman
Rabbi Ari Kievman first came to South Africa in 2002 for rabbinic training and received his ordination from Machon L’Hora’ah in Pretoria. He continued his studies in New York, earning a BA in Finance and Economics and a master’s degree in education. Since 2009, Rabbi Kievman has led Chabad’s Seniors Club and the Goodness & Kindness Centre in Sandton, where he creates meaningful programs that blend Jewish spirituality with community engagement.
Rebbetzin Batya Kievman holds a master’s degree in Speech and Audio Pathology and is known for her inspiring, positive energy. She is passionate about fostering a love for Judaism and offers motivation and guidance to those around her.
Together with their seven children, Rabbi Ari and Rebbetzin Batya are dedicated to creating a warm, enriching atmosphere at the Safari Pesach Retreat South Africa, combining tradition with adventure in a welcoming environment.
